Bruno Mars Opens His Moonshine Jungle World Tour

(Concert Performance)

June 22nd 2013 was the day. Bruno Mars and company opened the Moonshine Jungle World Tour with their first show last night in Washington D.C. at the Verizon Center.

Fresh off rehearsals for the tour in Cincinnati Ohio, Bruno was spotted arriving at the D.C. airport several days ago.

For this tour, Bruno will be  outfitted by Dolce & Gabbana,  who have provided several of his stylish performance suits in the past. Check out this photo of the Hooligan band prior to the show, wearing the infamous red suits. Click the instagram link in the tweet to view the photo.

And what's the merch looking like for this tour? Well for starters, that adorable plush gorilla that Bruno tweeted. And here's a photo of one of the   workers working at the merchandise table/counter.

I won't be posting videos of the performances, but here are a few photos and vids that the supporting act (Fitz & The Tantrums), crew members etc shared via social media. Click the links in the tweets to view the photo/vids.

And for your reading enjoyment,   USA Today,   and   The Washington Post   did reviews of the show. As always, you can probably find videos of the performances on YouTube. Looks like this is of course turning out to be one hell of a tour! Gone are the days of seeing Bruno for only $20, with no backdrops, fire, glitter, or confetti. But with or without it, he's always gonna put on a great show.
