The Bruno Mars Super Bowl Half Time Show Experience
During our first rehearsal with Bruno, we got to see Bruno rehearse one time through in freezing temperatures at night. He was such a G that he even took off his coat to rehearse one time through with his Mickey Mouse sweatshirt on. I for sure wasn't taking off my coat. My toes were already frozen!
Bruno and the Hooligans were so energetic and gracious, giving high 5's to us backstage as they walked to and from the dressing room.
At one of the rehearsals, it was cool to see his brother/drummer Eric stand in for him during the opening drum section. But the most touching moment of all was seeing the workers roll out his drumset for the first time, and noticing the same image of the heart tattoo he has dedicated to his mother Bernadette right on the drumset.
But nothing beats the adrenaline rush of seeing the energy and excitement that Bruno and the band exuded on stage during the actual performance. I don't know how it came across on tv but live, you could tell they were having the time of their lives. Check out the performance and a couple pics I managed to snag of the show below.
